JUNIPER Firewall Service Gateway [SRX650-BASE-SRE6-645AP]

The SRX650 is the last of the SRX branch series and is a step up to the SRX550. The firewall can produce 7Gbps of firewall performance, supports up to 3,000 VPN tunnels and has 8 Gigabit PIM slots which could be used from a combination of WAN and LAN adapter cards (GPIMs and XPIMs - please contact us to ensure correct cards are specified). Like the SRX550, the SRX650 can also deliver acceleration hardware for UTM acceleration – this means higher performance when performing IPS and ExpressAV operations on traffic.

• From all the SRX branch products, the SRX650 is the only firewall that supports a single Services and Routing Engine (SRE). The SRE module provides processing power for security services, routing protocol processes that control the services gateway interfaces, some chassis components, system management, and user access to the device.This firewall also provides Content Security Accelerator hardware for faster performance of IPS and ExpressAV. The SRX650 has Power over Ethernet capabilities which can support all 48 ports with PoE or the recently new PoE+. The PoE+ is a PoE standard which allows each port to provide 25.5 Watts of power instead of 15.4 Watts from the previous standard.
• The SRX range brings together the best of the Netscreen (ScreenOS) firewall platform and integrates with the stability of JUNOS - with its routing and switching heritage (thus "S"ecurity "R"outing Switching ("X")). Next-generation workflow in the Web interface deliver Wizards to help build firewall policies, NAT and VPN's - meaning the SRX is fast to set-up and easy to maintain.
